ATLANTA – The House Health & Human Services CANDOR Act Subcommittee will hold a meeting to discuss House Bill 807, the Georgia CANDOR Act, on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 10 a.m. in room 606 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta. Under the authority of the House Health & Human Services Committee, a special subcommittee comprised of state legislators and area experts will examine HB 807 as an avenue to address adverse outcomes for patients. This special subcommittee will hear from experts from across the country regarding similar legislation introduced in other states.
HB 807 would allow for voluntary open communications regarding health care under certain circumstances, such as after an adverse health care incident takes place. HB 807 was introduced by Chairman Cooper during the 2021 legislative session and will be eligible for consideration during the 2022 legislative session.
