ATLANTA – The House Judiciary Committee, chaired by State Representative Stan Gunter (R-Blairsville), will hold a meeting on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Banks County Courthouse in Homer. To watch a live stream of this meeting, please click here.
The committee will examine House Bill 368 and Senate Bill 259, legislation introduced during the 2023 legislative session. Respectively, these bills would transfer the Banks County Superior Court from the Piedmont Judicial Circuit to the Mountain Judicial Circuit. These bills will be eligible for consideration during the 2024 legislative session, which convenes next January.
