House Rural Development Council to Hold Meeting in Macon

ATLANTA – The House Rural Development Council, co-chaired by State Representatives Gerald Greene (R-Cuthbert) and Mack Jackson (D-Sandersville), will hold its first meeting of the 2023-2024 legislative term on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Georgia Farm Bureau’s headquarters in Macon. The House Rural Development Council was first created in 2017 to work with rural communities to find ways to encourage economic growth and job creation. During the 2023 legislative session, the council was renewed for the current term through the unanimous adoption of House Resolution 488.
