Georgia Legislators Introduce Bipartisan Housing Affordability Package

ATLANTA – State Representatives Mary Margaret Oliver (D-Decatur) and Phil Olaleye (D-Atlanta), joined by fellow state representatives, today announced the introduction of a bipartisan package of legislation aimed at addressing affordability in Georgia and designed to expand housing supply, protect tenants and encourage the development of affordable homes across the state.

Rep. Matt Reeves Announces Suwanee Homeowner Property Tax Relief

ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Reeves (R-Duluth) applauds the Georgia House’s passage of House Bill 1074, local legislation approving a November 2026 referendum on a homeowner property tax relief measure for homeowners in the City of Suwanee, Georgia. The homestead relief amount would be $15,000 per year, which would be higher than the Gwinnett County homestead amount. The Suwanee mayor and city council unanimously requested the local legislation.
