ATLANTA – State Representative Holt Persinger (R-Winder) was recently appointed by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) to serve on the House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Transportation Infrastructure and Vehicle Regulation.
“This interim, I am honored to serve on the House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Transportation Infrastructure and Vehicle Regulation, and I am grateful to Speaker Burns for the appointment,” said Rep. Persinger. “As our region continues to grow at a rapid pace, it is essential that we take a forward-looking approach to transportation planning and funding. Transportation infrastructure is vital to the daily lives of Georgians and to the strength of our economy, and we must ensure our systems remain safe and capable of meeting future demand. I look forward to working with my colleagues to develop legislative recommendations ahead of the 2027 legislative session.”
The House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Transportation Infrastructure and Vehicle Regulation will evaluate Georgia’s transportation networks and regulations to improve efficiency, streamline utility right-of-way coordination, control costs and strengthen safety statewide.
Speaker Burns also appointed the following study committee members: State Representatives Rick Jasperse (R-Jasper), Lauren McDonald, III (R-Cumming), Matt Dubnik (R-Gainesville), Vance Smith (R-Pine Mountain), Jutt Howard (R-Carrolton), Gary Richardson (R-Evans), Don Parsons (R-Marietta), Marvin Lim (D-Norcross) and Brian Prince (D-Augusta).
