ATLANTA – State Representative Chuck Martin (R-Alpharetta) today announced a new special subcommittee of the House Higher Education Committee to address workforce development. Rep. Demetrius Douglas’ Legislation to Ensure Recess for K-5 Students Signed Into Law

ATLANTA – State Representative Demetrius Douglas (D-Stockbridge) today announced that House Bill 1283 was recently signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp on Monday, May 9, 2022. Sponsored by Rep. Douglas, HB 1283 will require schools to offer recess to K-5 students each school day.

Rep. Henderson’s Legislation to Encourage Women to Receive Mammograms Signed Into Law

ATLANTA – State Representative Sharon Henderson (D-Covington) today announced that Governor Brian Kemp signed House Bill 937, legislation to help encourage women to receive mammogram exams, into law on Friday, May 6, 2022. Rep. Henderson will also hold a press conference to discuss HB 937 on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol.
