ATLANTA – State Representative Sharon Cooper (R-Marietta), chair of the House Health and Human Services Committee, seeks to recognize Tardive Dyskinesia (TD) Awareness Week as a part of Mental Health Awareness Month throughout May. During the 2022 legislative session, Chair Cooper introduced House Resolution 856 to recognize May 1 through May 7, 2022, as TD Awareness Week in Georgia to help increase education and raise awareness around the condition.

Rep. Schofield Expresses Her Support for the First Collegiate Esports Festival

ATLANTA – State Representative Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) today expressed her support for the first collegiate esports festival, the Collegiate Esports Commissioner’s Cup (CECC). The CECC will take place from May 6 through May 8, 2022, at the Gateway Center Arena, which is located in Rep. Schofield’s House District 60.

Reps. Carter, Scott, Davis, Schofield Participate in Georgia Economic Empowerment Summit

ATLANTA – State Representatives Doreen Carter (D-Lithonia), Sandra Scott (D-Rex), Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain) and Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) recently participated in the Georgia Economic Empowerment Summit on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Savannah Technical College. These legislators served as special guest speakers for this summit, which was hosted by State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Savannah).
