ATLANTA – House Speaker David Ralston today named Rep. Allen Peake (R-Macon) and Rep. Bob Bryant (D-Garden City) to the Special Joint Committee on Georgia Revenue Structure. The Special Joint Committee on Georgia Revenue Structure will take up the report of the Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness for Georgians.
“I have full confidence that Rep. Peake and Rep. Bryant will bring great leadership to the work of this important committee,” said House Speaker Ralston. “Consideration of this report is a priority of the General Assembly and having the right people in place for this work will be vital.”
The appointments were made in accordance with House Bill 1405, which required the Speaker of the House to appoint one member from the majority party and one member from the minority party.
