Statement from Rep. Allen Peake on his Appointment to the Special Joint Committee on Georgia Revenue Structure

ATLANTA— Today State Rep. Allen Peake (R-Macon) released the following statement after House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) appointed him to the Special Joint Committee on Georgia Revenue Structure:

“I am honored to be selected by Speaker Ralston for appointment to the Special Joint Committee on Georgia Revenue Structure. As a strong believer in a tax structure that is fair for all hard working Georgians and creates an attractive environment for economic growth, I look forward to giving a thorough evaluation to the report submitted by the Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness.”

Representative Allen Peake represents the citizens of District 137, which includes portions of Bibb County. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2006, and currently serves on the Banks & Banking, Small Business Development and Jobs Creation, Appropriations, and Ways & Means committees. Rep. Peake also serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the House Republican Caucus.
