Rep. Buddy DeLoach Sworn in, Receives Committee Assignments for the 2021-2022 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – State Representative Buddy DeLoach (R-Townsend) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 11, 2021, which was the first day of the 2021-2022 legislative term. In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. DeLoach to the Special Committee on Election Integrity and the Natural Resources & Environment, Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment and Special Rules committees.

“I am incredibly honored to serve on these four committees and am particularly pleased to serve on the Special Committee on Election Integrity,” said Rep. DeLoach.  “I look forward to serving the citizens of House District 167 and representing our community, while focusing on legislation that upholds security, accessibility, efficiency and reliability in our state elections.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Buddy DeLoach represents the citizens of District 167, which includes Long and McIntosh counties and portions of Glynn County. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1994 and was re-elected in 2020. He currently serves on the Special Committee on Election Integrity and the Natural Resources & Environment, Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment and Special Rules committees.
