ATLANTA – State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Savannah) will partner with Bill Marinella Casting to host an opening casting call event for three Savannah-based film projects on Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Garden City Empowerment Center. Individuals ages 10 and older will have an opportunity to be cast for paid roles in “Fear the Walking Dead,” “Cave Dweller” and/or “Pax.” Minors under 10 years old will not be able to participate. The casting company will photograph individuals, and individuals are encouraged to “dress to impress” or dress casual. Parking will be limited for this event, and participants will be divided into timed groups to avoid overcrowding.
In 2019, Rep. Gilliard was appointed by Governor Brian Kemp to serve on the Georgia Film, Music, and Digital Entertainment Commission. Through this partnership, Rep. Gilliard seeks to provide local residents an opportunity to break into Georgia’s film industry.
