Rep. Karen Bennett Visits Prime Care Learning Center III for Georgia Pre-K Week

ATLANTA – State Representative Karen Bennett (D-Stone Mountain) recently celebrated Georgia’s Pre-K program by visiting Prime Care Learning Center III.  During her visit, Rep. Bennett read to a group of preschoolers as part of Georgia Pre-K Week.

“It is always such a pleasure to get out and serve in my community, and I am so happy that I was able to share my time with the children,” said Rep. Bennett. “Early learning prepares children for success, and I am thrilled to participate in this awareness campaign to foster success for Georgia’s future leaders.”

During her visit, Rep. Bennett read the book “Pete, the Cat” to the students. In addition to the reading activities, she also spoke with staff and got an up-close look at the ways that the school is supporting early learning.

October 5 through October 9 is the state’s official Pre-K Week, hosted by Voices for Georgia’s Children and its Pre-K week partners.  Representative Bennett is one of nearly 120 state leaders who visited some of the approximately 3,800 Pre-K classrooms located in all 159 counties in Georgia.
