Rep. Kendrick to Host Virtual Press Conference on “Black Wealth” Legislation for 2021 Session

ATLANTA – State Representative Dar’shun Kendrick (D-Lithonia) will hold a virtual press conference to discuss legislation she plans to introduce during the 2021 legislative session on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 9 a.m. via Zoom. The virtual press conference will be open to the public, and members of the press will each have three minutes to ask questions. Rep. Kendrick will open the press conference, Rep. Shelly Hutchinson (D-Snellville) will discuss a reparations resolution, and Markee Tate will issue the “Color of Wealth” report. Additionally, Calvin Vismale will speak on the placement of underrepresented groups on commissions, and Teresa Hardy will address corporate tax credit reporting in the state. Rep. Karen Bennett (D-Stone Mountain) will discuss legislation regarding a tax credit for HBCUs, and Rep. Kendrick will close the press conference with a call to action.
