Rep. Lynn Smith’s Online Biographical Profile Featured in Wall Street Journal

ATLANTA – State Representative Lynn Smith (R-Newnan) was recently selected by global publisher Marquis Who’s Who to be included in a quarter-page feature in the Wall Street Journal. Rep. Smith’s online biographical profile was launched by Marquis Who’s Who last fall, and she is one of 16 individuals selected for the Wall Street Journal feature.

“When I was first selected to be profiled by Marquis Who’s Who, I thought about the many ways my community has transformed me into the person I am today,” said Rep. Smith. “I want to thank my constituents for allowing me to be their trusted voice at the State Capitol for all of these years. Because of my constituents back home, I have been richly blessed beyond measure, and I am grateful for their support.”

Rep. Smith was selected to be profiled earlier this fall based on her position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in her field. The online profile highlights Rep. Smith’s varied legislative career since first being elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 1996, including her appointment as chair of the House Natural Resources and Environmental Committee. Additionally, the profile recognizes her broad network sustained through a variety of memberships with local and national organizations. The published biography also includes various bills Rep. Smith has sponsored over the last 26 years in the Georgia House and her numerous awards as a public official.

Since 1899, when Albert Nelson Marquis printed the First Edition of Who’s Who in America, Marquis Who’s Who has chronicled the lives of approximately 1.5 million accomplished individuals and innovators from every significant field of endeavor, including politics, business, medicine, law, education, art, religion and entertainment. Today, the publishing company remains an essential biographical source for thousands of researchers, journalists, librarians and executive search firms around the world.
