Rep. Matt Dollar Named Chairman of the New House Creative Arts & Entertainment Committee

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Matt Dollar (R-Marietta) as the Chairman of the House Creative Arts & Entertainment Committee. Rep. Dollar will also serve as a member on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health, as well as the Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications, Insurance, Interstate Cooperation and Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment committees.

“In just a few short years Georgia has become a global leader in entertainment jobs and revenue,” said Rep. Dollar. “The work of Republican leadership, both past and present, has made Georgia the envy of the country and the world.  I look forward to working with these industries to ensure we keep Georgia’s workers and companies at the top.”

Speaker Ralston recently announced the creation of this new standing committee, which will steward Georgia’s thriving entertainment industries and the thousands of jobs they support across the state.

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Matt Dollar represents the citizens of District 45, which includes portions of Cobb and Fulton counties. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2002 and currently serves as Chairman of the Creative Arts & Entertainment Committee.
