Rep. Rutledge Named Vice Chairman of House Motor Vehicles Committee

ATLANTA – State Representative Dale Rutledge (R-McDonough) was recently named vice chairman of the House Motor Vehicles Committee by Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge).

“I appreciate Speaker Ralston naming me as vice chairman of the Motor Vehicles Committee,” said Rep. Rutledge. “I look forward to working with Chairman Corbett and the entire committee during the upcoming legislative session.”

This committee deals with issues concerning driver’s licenses, motor carrier laws and the Uniform Rules of the Road. It also deals with laws pertaining to motor vehicle tags, their titles and registration.

Representative Dale Rutledge represents the citizens of District 109, which includes portions of Henry, Newton and Rockdale counties. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2012 and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Vice Chairman of the Motor Vehicles Committee and Secretary of the Ways & Means Committee. He also serves on the Judiciary, Regulated Industries, Small Business Development and Transportation committees.
