ATLANTA – The January 2014 edition of Georgia Trend Magazine recently named State Representative Terry Rogers (R-Clarkesville) one of the Most Influential Georgians of 2014. Rep. Rogers represents Georgia’s 10th House District, including portions of Habersham and White counties.

“Being recognized by Georgia Trend as one of 100 Most Influential Georgians was a surprise. I am extremely honored and humbled,” said Rep. Rogers. “I don’t believe that one individual is necessarily more influential than another. I think that the key is finding something you are passionate about and then going to work on it. In my case it is economic development, education, and constituent service. I’m constantly reminded every day how blessed I am to have this job.”

Rep. Rogers was recognized for his commitment to economic development and tourism in the Northeast Georgia region. The former chairman of the Clarkesville Better Hometown Board and the Joint Development Authority of Banks, Habersham and Rabun Counties, Rep. Rogers has received an A+ rating from the Georgia Chamber for his pro-business stance.

The selection process for the year’s most influential individuals is a year-round process for the editorial staff at Georgia Trend Magazine. Individuals are selected exclusively by the Georgia Trend editorial staff based on the staff’s knowledge and observations of the state’s power structure.
