ATLANTA— State Representatives Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates) and Wendell Willard (R-Sandy Springs) today introduced House Bill 323, also known as the Fair Employment Practices Act (FEPA). Rep. Karla Drenner to Attend CALS Leadership Program

ATLANTA – State Representative Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates) has been chosen as one of 25 state government officials from across the 15-state Southern Legislative Conference (SLC) region to participate in The Center for the Advancement of Leadership Skills (CALS) 2013 Leadership Program. The program is held at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute in Arkansas from October 30-November 3, 2013.

Rep. Drenner Introduces Legislation to Protect EMC Customers

ATLANTA — State Representative Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates) today announced the introduction of House Bill 500, legislation to increase the amount of oversight the Public Service Commission (PSC) has over Electric Membership Corporations (EMCs). Specifically, HB 500 would require the PSC to review any EMC contract for the purchase of power that runs longer than five years.
