Rep. Mesha Mainor Announces Legislation Signed to Allow Atlanta University Consortium to Create Unified Campus Police Department

ATLANTA – State Representative Mesha Mainor (D-Atlanta) today announced that Governor Brian Kemp has signed House Bill 142 into law. Aimed to support the Atlanta University Center Consortium’s (AUCC) member institutions, HB 142 will allow colleges and universities in Georgia to unify their police units to protect students across campuses.

A Thanksgiving Tribute to the Family of Speaker Ralston

My first legislative session began immediately following the January 6 riots at the U.S Capitol. It was an unprecedented time to start a career in politics and just as challenging if you were a veteran politician.
