During the visit, Representative Houston led the Georgia House of Representatives in passing House Resolution 1495, congratulating Desselle for being named the 2010 Georgia Teacher of the Year. Forgoing his only opportunity to speak on his own behalf, Representative Ralston instead yielded his time to Representative Houston, trusting her with the final works of his candidacy.
