Speaker David Ralston Appoints Members to House Study Committee on Welfare Fraud

ATLANTA — Speaker of the House David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) has appointed the following members to the House Study Committee on Welfare Fraud:

  • Rep. David Clark (R-Buford), Chairman
  • Rep. Mandi Ballinger (R-Canton)
  • Rep. Timothy Barr (R-Lawrenceville)
  • Rep. Dominic LaRiccia (R-Douglas)
  • Rep. Erica Thomas (D-Austell)

This study committee is established by House Resolution 829 and will study eligibility reforms to prevent fraud, and the resulting waste of taxpayer funds, in public welfare programs such as food stamps (SNAP) and PeachCare.
