ATLANTA – State Representative Regina Lewis-Ward (D-McDonough) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 11, 2021, which was the first day of the 2021-2022 legislative term. In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Lewis-Ward to the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Banks & Banking and Interstate Cooperation committees.
“It is an honor to be selected to serve on these three committees,” said Rep. Lewis-Ward. “From engaging in Georgia’s largest economic industry to overseeing statewide financial institutions and maintaining state relationships, I am sure that my work with the other committee members will enrich the lives of the people of Georgia.”
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Regina Lewis-Ward represents the citizens of District 109, which includes portions of Henry, Newton and Rockdale counties. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2020 and currently serves on the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Banks & Banking and Interstate Cooperation committees.
