Rep. Will Wade Named Vice Chairman of the House Banks & Banking Committee

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Will Wade (R-Dawsonville) as the Vice Chairman of the House Banks & Banking Committee.

This committee’s policy work will be vital to ensuring families and businesses reach new heights of prosperity.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives. 

The Banks & Banking Committee has jurisdiction of financial institutions, real property finance, and corporate securities law.

Additionally, the House Committee on Assignments has appointed Rep. Wade to serve as a member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Education and the Education, Juvenile Justice and State Planning & Community Affairs committees. Governor Brian Kemp also recently appointed Rep. Wade to serve as one of his Floor Leaders in the House.

Representative Will Wade represents the citizens of District 9, which includes portions of Dawson, Lumpkin and White counties. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2020 and currently serves as one of the Governor’s Floor Leaders and as Vice Chairman of the Banks & Banking Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Education and the Education, Juvenile Justice and State Planning & Community Affairs committees.
