ATLANTA – State Representative Farooq Mughal (D-Dacula) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 9, 2023, marking his first day of the 2023-2024 legislative term. Georgia Legislators Announce Creation of First Formal Legislative Asian American Pacific Islander Caucus

ATLANTA – Members of the Georgia General Assembly today announced the creation of the first formal Georgia Legislative Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Caucus. Starting in 2023, Georgia will have the most AAPI legislators of any state legislature in the nation.
